Our exotics team is led by Dr. Emily, who is supported by assistants and nurses trained to handle and treat each species in ways that will minimize stress and fear. Our clinic is outfitted with the state-of-the-art, specialized equipment required to treat each species.

Does every veterinarian at All Ears Veterinary treat exotics?
No, only Dr. Emily is trained to work with our exotic patients.
What exotic species do you treat?
Dr. Emily is experienced in treating small mammals including rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, hamsters, hedgehogs, and ferrets, reptiles including bearded dragons, tortoises, turtles, non-venomous snakes, and geckos, and birds including parakeets, cockatiels, and parrots. If you do not see your small mammal, reptile, or bird species listed here, please contact us to confirm our ability to adequately care for your pet. At this time, we do not treat amphibians, fish, or invertebrates.
What can I expect from an exotics appointment at All Ears Veterinary?
At AEV, we offer the gold standard in medical care and recommendations for each and every species that we treat. You can expect a thorough review of your pet’s husbandry, diet, and body condition, an examination of each of their body’s systems, and treatment and recommendations for any presenting ailments or concerns.
Can I book a nurse appointment for my exotic pet?
Yes, nurse appointments are available for beak trims, nail trims, and rabbit or ferret vaccinations if your pet has had a doctor’s exam at AEV within the last 6 months. These will only be available on days that Dr. Emily is working in the clinic and can be easily booked online.
Do you perform surgery and dental procedures on exotic patients?
Yes, we offer a variety of surgical and dental procedures for exotic species. Please contact us if you have a surgical or dental need and we will confirm Dr. Emily’s ability to perform the procedure.
